Internet Radio Survey
Shout Radio Services, owner of Acoustic Alternative, has teamed with Audio Graphics and Radio Row and will be participating in a large Internet Radio Survey. Starting next week we will display a small banner on our site inviting all of you to participate in a 3 question survey to help Internet Radio.
We want to encourage everyone to participate. These guys are the leaders in radio programming and have had their online presence since 1999. They don’t spam you or anything, they just collect statistics for the radio industry.

Naz is one of our loyal listeners and one of DJ Chainsaws’ favorite friends. Each year he writes a Christmas post on his blog and each year we find his thoughts very interesting and like to share them with all of you.
A Very NAZ Christmas…
I was struck today as I watched an old favorite on TV. It was Charlie Browns Christmas. This is a show I grew up with, watched as a child. Okay, I may have taken a few rebellious teen years off, but I even watched it as an adult. I think I always identified most with snoopy. I bet most of us had a character we identified with, one of them that was most like we are. (Or wanted to be)
As I watched this time I could not help but notice how many times Charlie Brown talked about the commercialization of Christmas and how he wanted to know the true meaning. The year that show was made was 1965. I was just turning 3 years old when the show premiered. Next week will mark 43 years later and I can’t help to ask myself “How far have we come as a generation to finding out what Charlie Brown so desperately search for”?
I found myself leaving comments for my friends here on My Space and realized as I did that I kept using the term “Holidays” instead of Christmas because it has become politically incorrect and apparently somewhat harmful to use the word Christmas to the wrong people. Seems some take offense to the term and some feel it’s an infringement on their rights.
I ask myself what Charlie would think about that. What the heck has happened to Christmas?

All this time I thought I was talking to myself on this website and today I look and see more than 8,200 visits from people subscribed to our RSS Feed. LOL
It’s nice to be back and I promise the Acoustic Rock Power Hour will start again very soon. My wife and I purchased a duplex and thought we would just move right in and be at home. WRONG!!!!!!
First, it took Insight 2 weeks to get our internet hooked up, then the roof started leaking, then she wanted new carpet, then I decided the new studio wasn’t big enough (she put me in a darned closet-lol), then our service provider we were using for the website and software got hacked big time, then we get featured in a new iPhone commercial during the first game of the World Series and the website is totally dorked up, now we have a new tennant moving into the 2BR side of the duplex and the better half says we have to remodel it for a renter…….
Need I say more? Well, look on the bright side, there’s not much more she can make me do so the show will begin again (unless of course she reads this post and starts making up things) soon.
See you guys on the air again real soon! UBroadcast.com is going to feature the show on their index page and I’ve got some great new music to play too. I’m even going to increase the number of requests so we can blow up the airwaves.
